Mold Cleaning System Removes Buildup, Prevents Rust for PVC Processors
The environmentally friendly Eco-Pro 360 from iD Additives provides a protective nanocoating for optimal surface treatment, works on all metal surfaces without etching.
Acid vapors caused by processing PVC causes flash rusting on molds and components. If not treated properly, the issue can compound, becoming increasingly difficult to eliminate. Eco-Pro 360 from iD Additives is able to quickly remove, and help prevent flash rusting.
The water-based plastic mold cleaner is a non-aerosol, non-flammable and ready-to-use solution. According to iD Additives, it safely removes rust, mineral and limescale buildup, providing a protective nanocoating for rust prevention. It also works on all metal surfaces (without etching) and can be reused with proper filtration.
One Midwest injection molder provided the following analysis: “With just using the solution on the housing, we use an estimated amount of 0.5 oz. ($0.78 cents), saving us about one hour of time total on one mold, and an estimated 150 to 250 hours per year, depending on the molding schedule. If we were to use the solution on the knock out pins and blades it could possibly save us even more time.”
