Mobile Data Logger for Toolmaking and Production
D-System is a data logger from Hotset America that records the energy balance of water circuits in a mold.
A decisive factor for the quality of the temperature control system of an injection mold is the energy balance of its water circuits. Adapted to this task is the functional scope of Hotset America’s new process data logger, the D-System.

The D-System is said to provide toolmakers with all of the essential measurement data required to evaluate the energy flows of the water circuits in a mold. Using various sensors, the D-System measures the amount of water, its flow and return temperatures, as well as the applied and remaining water pressure. It then calculates all relevant performance parameters relevant, such as the Delta T, a value for the energy that the mold withdraws from the water circuit or releases to it.
Based on the system’s measurement and calculation results, Hotset America notes that toolmakers, designers, injection molders and quality assurance specialists can reliably evaluate the energy processes of the water circuits and check, design and adjust the temperature control accordingly.
