Jeff Mertz of Anova Innovations has partnered with Erie High School and the Northwestern PA Chapter of National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) to train mold designers via a new Mold Design Group Apprenticeship that offers career opportunities for students of underprivileged high school districts and the possibility of working with a student-run enterprise providing mold design and simulation services utilizing software and 3D printing technologies. Another goal is to develop a relevant certification program.
